Arthur William Titcomb

Private Arthur William Titcomb, 40983, Depot, Royal Fusiliers (37th)was born in South Marston, Nr Swindon, Wiltshire in 1877. He lived at Bolebroke Coach House, Hartfield and enlisted in June 1916. He died from the effects of shell shock on 29th January 1917 at Lewisham Hospital, London, age 40 and is buried in St Mary’s Hartfield Churchyard: Grave H 23.

He was the son of Ralph and Alice Titcomb. He was married to Jane Eliza (Kemm) Titcomb and had the following children; Ernest Arthur Robert 1911-1945, William J 1912, Sydney R 1913, Cecil J 1916, Margaret 1919. His pre-war occupation was a Coachman.
