He was the son of Colonel Frederick Bayley (1865), Royal Engineers and his wife Marion Kirkpatrick (1871) Baylay. His pre-war occupation was a schoolboy at Haileybury. He attended Sandhurst in 1915 and was commissioned into the Royal Engineers.
He is not listed on either of the War Memorials in Colemans Hatch and Hartfield.
There is a brass plaque on south wall of Holy Trinity Church, Colemans Hatch in his memory, though it has not been possible to ascertain any link to Colemans Hatch.

Hi Barry, Your Great Uncle is on the War Memorial list on this site with his war record as I guess you have seen. I have collected some pictures of the local school and there is a Bertha Woodhams in a picture dated November 1912. Mike Parcell might have some more info on the Woodhams family but I can only guess that if Bertha went to what is called the Hartfield Endowed School maybe Thomas did too.

Hello I’m great nephew of Thomas Honeysett age of death in our family bile is 18 years 10 months he was killed in action at hill 60 09:05:15 he Was one of six Honeysett brothers from hartfield to fight in the war I have a picture of all six brothers taken from a paper cutting and have the original stil regards Charles Honeysett

Hello yes I can send you that how do I do that I can post you a copy if you like I also have other pictures of the village my dad was in ww2 he was a pupil of the local school have photo of him in pow camp in Poland one of his best mates fj neale is on the memorial dad always spoke of him dad was a pow from 1940 to 1945
The two Weeding brothers are also commemorated on the Reigate, St Mary’s War Memorial (Reigate, Surrey) near to where their brother Henry lived post war.
